INTIMATE, HISTORIC WEDDING IN THE HEART OF SAVANNAH
Historic venues add such a romantic touch to any wedding day, and the Harper Fowlkes House is no exception. On a perfect February day, Audrey + Colin tied the knot in the back courtyard.
Their wedding had a very important special guest: their little girl, who was yet to be born. To include the baby-to-be in the day, Audrey + Colin had touches of pink in their florals, accessories, and decor.
The bridal suite at this venue is one of my favorites in the city—the upstairs floor has incredible windows for all the natural light you need, as well as gorgeous finishes in the crown molding, furniture, and hardwood floors. Audrey and her friends and family finished prep upstairs while Colin got excited with his people in the courtyard.
The ceremony was bathed in gorgeous light, finishing just as golden hour began. After saying their vows and coming back down the aisle, they were surrounded by all their loved ones with open arms and teary eyes. Following some photos with family, friends, and each other, Audrey and Colin led us to Churchill's for dinner, drinks, and dancing.
Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with intentionality and a focus on being present. I find couples who take the time to outline what is most important to them and stick to those priorities throughout the day enjoy their wedding much more, and I think the smiles on their faces in these photos prove that.
